Corning Natural Gas Corporation understands that the cost to convert your home to natural gas can be prohibitive for some homeowners. To help you with this, the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) offers homeowners single-family housing repair loans and grants.
One way these low interest loans and grants can be used is for energy system upgrades to convert your home to natural gas. Currently, the maximum loan amount is $20,000, and the maximum grant is $7,500. To be eligible for a grant, you must be 62 or older and unable to repay a repair loan.
